mopar front bumper air dam?

MOPAR 1BE95XXXAD - MOPAR® Front Bumper Air Dam for 08-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

found this by chance searching skid plates.
i have no idea how or where it attaches to the front bumper. just curious. any guesses?

Even more strange is the manufacturer part number is partially X'd out. Can't google it.

I have no idea what that thing is

Wonder if it is designed to go between the front skid plates and the bottom of the bumper? It seems like there is a space there that I'd like to close off with an additional plate.

Is that the stock look for the front end of yours (US version) ? Or did that have a airdam or water/dirt deflector underneath before - this is what ours look like:



Should not its only plastic..

Ours is the same. Solid plastic junk that I removed along time ago

Both the plastic and steel Air dam/skid attatch to the lower section of bumper. There is no gap.

Strider_mt2k, that is a Rugged Ridge skid.

I have the actual Mopar steel skid plate on and it looks and functions nothing like that one. I would pass on it.
