Thanks for the info, Panthermark.
I'm really wanting a solution to affix driving lights before the long, dark winter arrives - the stock headlights are less than brilliant.

I ordered one of these just for the look, without the lights! I think it's a great improvement in appearance over the look of the stock bumper, and for less than $100 it's an easy upgrade. Maybe I'll hang some lights from it eventually but I imagine I'll be upgrading the entire bumper before I actually need offroading lights...

I agree. If you add the stubby bumper kit it really freshens up the front quite a bit.

With or without lights, it's a good upgrade to the front until a new bumper is added.

Does it bolt right on ?

What size is the light bar that you mounted on the bottom of the bumper bar. I just bought a 21 inch led bar. I was looking at this bar but not sure if it is a straight fit.
Thanks guys.
Jim g

Goes out to itmeko3 I guess

Any update from the last two posters on whether their LED light bars worked? I have a 21.5 inch that I'm about to try to add (haven't pulled the trigger on the bar yet though). Also - does anyone know the diameter of this bar? Also considering putting the LED on with the rugged ridge X clamps or KC light tube clamps. Does anyone have experience with either?

The 21.5 will fit no problem. I have the 25" eyourlife and it fits!

But yeah, no cutting what so ever. A long wrench and duct tape made the install pretty quick and easy.

Not sure if I'm going to get a light or not. I wasn't planning on it because those flat LED's are EXPENSIVE. I'm thinking of cutting off the three mounts, that way, if I get into a slight wreck, they don't rotate back into my cooler/radiator.
LOL...
Oh you silly, silly panthermark....
Thanks to China flooding the market with cheap LED's, flat LED are one of the cheapest mods out there.
A 20" light bar for $50? Sure...
A 50" light bar for $100? No problem....

Looks great! Thanks.

Unfortunately I got mine (Raxiom Wrangler 21.5in. Double Row LED Light Bar J100988 (87-15 Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK) - Free Shipping) on sale a while back and it doesn't have the adjustable mounts. Had I known what a pain the mounting would be, I definitely would have reconsidered

I went ahead and got the light bar and then these brackets (Amazon.com: PIAA 74102 Universal Mounting Bracket - Pair: Automotive) to mount them. I'll let ya know how it goes, hoping to do the install tomorrow/Thursday for a Friday road trip

One other question here. My light (and this one) says it has a flood and spot combo. But the switch that came suggested with it on ExtremeTerrain (Raxiom LED Wrangler Lighting Switch Kit J100996 (87-15 Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK) - Free Shipping) only has one on/off. Am I misunderstanding the spot/flood combo bit?

Your LED bar has floods on the outer LED's and spots with the center LED's....but they all turn on and off at the same time.

Does your light have the "old style alu firm bracket" or the "new style stainless steel bracket"? The product description lists al firm bracket, but the photos show the stainless steel brackets. There is one photo that shows the two types and that the old one was breaking.

Also, did you have to do anything different as far as spacers or anything since you under-mounted it to the Mopar bar?

Thanks.

not sure about the bracket...it is the newer style where you use small alen key bolts to keep the brackets from moving. had this setup for a few months and so far no rust.

As for spacers dont need any. I had to add large washers for the bolts going through the light tabs though.

Will this one on Amazon fit a 2015 JKU?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...k_ql_qh_dp_hza
Or is it better to go through a dealer? I get 25% off Mopar.

It's pretty much the same thing, so which ever is cheaper.

You will have to trim your plastic filler piece that fits between the bumper and the grille though. I just don't like how the actual bar mounts to the brackets with the bolts, they stick out and don't look good IMO....plus the pictures show them stainless(?) rather than black coated? Makes them stick out even more.

that is the same bar I have and there is no need to trim any plastic if you follow the instructions.

@Kadonny I also saw no need to trim anything. And the bolts showing I could just hit with some bedliner and call it good.

If you take the front bumper off it makes it much easier.

What do you guys think about this light? Seems popular with the MOPAR bar.

Can you take a side picture of the light mounts and space between the bar and grill?

Thanks

Installed mine over the weekend, took about 30min. Used a coat hanger to hold the nuts in place inside the frame. Now just waiting for my LEDs to show up.
