motor sound when turning off.....

something I've noticed for a while now, is when I turn my Jeep off, about 20-30 seconds after the ignition is off, I hear what sounds like a motor sound. Almost like a power antenna motor. I doubt that it has anything to do with the radio staying on cause I've heard it even after I open the door and the radio goes off. Any ideas??

I'm Tiki Bob, and I approved this message.

I'm not 100% on this, but it sounds like the hard drive in the radio spinning. It shuts off for me when I open my door. It does it even if I have not been playing songs from the HDD.

When you open the door the power should go off.

I believe that will be the electric engine cooling fan. Common on many modern vehicles. It runs for a while after shutdown when the engine is hot.

It could be your A.C. when its running and you turn your jeep off the pressure will equilize high press with low press and it can take 30 secs or more,Check your AC it will also come on when the defrost is on.This is normal some people never turn the ac off.
