Cool MPG update on 1100 mile road trip

Just back from 1100 mile road trip.

08 stock JK Sahara, 255R70x18" Bridgestone A/T Dueler, hard top on.

auto tranny, 373 diff.

From Willamette Valley over 3 mountain passes nearing 5000' each; mud slide & trees, 100 miles of snow 4x4; high winds, heavy rain; high water detour; typical 55-65 mph driving as possible; some 70-75mph but not much; 1/2 of trip was good weather & 1/2 was the 'heavy-high' part; 100 miles urban driving; 50 miles back country gravel/dirt road;

1100 miles/total gallons of gas 49.85= 22.66 MPG

Further; this is 4615 miles I've driven this since purchase at 15970 miles. Used 214.01 gals = 21.56 average including about 1/3 city; 2/3 rural roads & freeways.

Pretty pleased with these mileage figures for a flying brick shape.

Good to hear, since I'll be taking a similar trip with mine in June. Thanks for the info!

Those are good but just wait until the bug bites and you start changing things. Those numbers will go down but your smile will go up.

You should get close to 30 MPG, once you start injecting water! LOL
