My 2010 Black Mountain JK

Well, I said in another thread I would post threads of my new jeep, so here they are.

Nothing special, I bought him used w/6k miles for a good price. My second jeep to a 1997 Sahara that I drove for 8 years.

Hopefully at some point it will be practical for me to put some work into the jeep but right now its my daily driver so I won't be doing much in the way of mods yet.

I do want to tint the front two windows as I think it would look pretty nice

What year? I bought my 4 door 2010 this past August. We have tinted the two windows, added spare tire cover, added billet grille inserts and front light guards.

CONGRATTS !!!!!!!! Very nice,, there is one MOD tht is free , and most Mountain Owners are doing.. Remove the Mountain Stickers on the hood. It will make your Mountain look very stealth.

GOOD LUCK ith your new purchase !!!!!

people don't like the mountain sticker? i'm actually partial to the orange on black. i'd be interested to see someone's jeep with the sticker removed.

lady, its a 2010 and i want to get 35% tint in the front, but in VA anything more than 50% is illegal. I'm wondering how much harassment I will get from the police despite having a clean driving record

The Hood Decal Clone from Pixel Decals: JK Wrangler Mountain Style Hood Blackout Decal

If you're interested, a thread showing two other types of "Mountain" Stickers, custom made by Pixel Decals: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/did...ion-70031.html

Mountain without original sticker: Check my profile pics.

Question: Is that tan interior? I've never seen that on a Mountain. Mine's black--see profile pics again.

Love the Mountain Editions . . . . Yours looks great.

i do like the look of the jeep w/out the mountain edition decal, but i also like the decal on my car.

if i take it off, can i buy more to put it on again if i wanted to?

this is going to sound weird, but has anyone put a clear bra on their front grill/edge of the hood to prevent from road debris?

My tint is legal in FL and is the darkest I can get, don't know the %.

I too like the Mountain sticker, kind of funny i have a Mountain Jeep in Central FL but I also have a house in Central Colorado.

well up to 28% is legal if FL (lucky) and the closest to that w/out going over is 35% which is what I'm contemplating.

Can you post more pics of your jeep's tinting? Is it hard to see out of your windows at night?

I have 20% up front and put 35% over the back windows. It is really dark and is hard to see at night. It looks really good but if I had to do it over I would only tint the front two and go a little lighter. I also did the eyebrow on the windshield which helps with the sun! I have a 2008 Sahara 4 door by the way. Lol

Agreed. You don't sound like you want to take it off, so don't do it. I like mine on my Rescue Green Mountain. You can always take it off later if you decide you don't like it, but ya' can't put it back on (unless you buy another). It's your Jeep; do what you think looks good.

The decals are cool and part of what makes it one of the 2000 unique ones built. Without, it looks like a mass produced sport. I vote keep them.

It was a mid year "special edition" like the islander. Did you look up the gps coordinates on the sticker? One of the first things I did.

I agree, keep the stickers. I like the orange on black stickers on mine. Adds character and breaks up the black a little
