My 2011 Rubicon Build.

Finally getting close to completing my build. I'm loving the Rubi!

Just need to install the mirror relocation kit, and wire in some KC Lights.
After that I may be installing some power adders, still researching that...

Nice looking jeep. The pictures show off some of the capabilities, some good shots. Are those seatglover seat covers?

Nice jeep man! Did you swap out the drive shafts because you went over the 2.5" "limit" for 2DR or do you still have the stock ones?

I was told that I have the tallest lift possible while keeping the stock driveshafts. Haven't had any problems.

For a 4 door, maybe. For a 2 door though, I'd expect problems down the line. Read this ("This situation is extremely common on lifts of three inches or more, especially on the rear of two-door Wranglers.") It's worse for auto transmissions as well, if that's what you have.

In any event, I'm sure you'll be fine for a while, but just keep your eye on those boots.

3.5" is tallest for unlimited 4dr while 4" sometimes can get by. A 2.5" is tallest for 2 dr while some 3" lifts can get by. 3.5" on 2 door will probably lead to driveshaft U-Joint failure at some point. It usually happens over several months. There has been a lot of people on the forums that have ended up with failure from shops more interested in selling a lift then checking to see if it would work.

Thanks for the heads up! I do have a 6 speed, so hopefully I'll be okay. Plus it only has 800 miles on it, and will only get about 3000 a year.

Thanks!
They are NITTO Trail grappler M/Ts on a 20 inch wheel. I wouldn't recommend the wheels, I had to use spacers to make them work because of the excessive backspacing. But I'm stubborn and really like them. They still rub a little when turning sharp so I'm planning to do some trimming on my flares and stuff.

Okay, driveshafts are easy change....
If there a recommended part and website to order?

I don't mind buying them, and I specifically asked my lift installer at the time and they said I'd be fine

I'd change them just for the peace of mind.

Tom Wood's is pretty highly recommended with drive shafts and yo can get them at most 4x4 stores.

Your installer didnt know what he was talking about Where did you get it installed?

What's bad is I told them to install EVERYTHING it needed to make it work seamlessly.. Pretty much a blank check.. Kinda bums me out.

Thanks for the complements and the help.

A beautiful Jeep. I really like the Cosmos Blue.

I like the Nittos, too. A surprisingly quiet tire on the highway.

I like the way they look, but the backspacing is off, so I'm having to run spacers. I wouldn't recommend these wheels.
