My Dozer Build Thread!

I'm starting to get a couple mods done to my first jeep and thought I might as well share with everyone.

To get caught up I bought my jeep in mid April of 2012.

I drove it stock for the first 6 months or so until I decided after my 8th flat tire with stock tires I needed some bigger shoes. So I went with 33" fierce mt's.

From there i realized my stock head lights suck on jeeps so I kinda went over the top on lights and ordered 4 hella 700 ff's for the top of the windshield and 2 hella 500's for the windshield mounts. The wiring took a bit trying to hide all the wires, but took about 2.5 hours to wire and install all 6 lights.

After the lights I saw a thread on how to plasti dip your grill so thought I would give it a shot and actually turned out great , did about 5 coats of it so it would be completely even. Thought I would end up peeling it off after but after seeing it, will not be going back to the stock grill.

As of right now I'm waiting till Tuesday to get my winch, stubby bumper, 2.5" lift and my best top element doors!

Feel free to to point me in my next direction if you see somewhere my rig lacks.

Nice, I really like those lights. I'm still a round light fan. Never got into the light bars.

If I ever do get another light it will probably be an led bar on my new bumper but I like the look of the circle lights on the top still

Thought I'd update this thread a bit since I haven't for a while.

Since my last update I've installed:
2.5" lift
1.5" wheel spacers
Adjustable track bar
Sway bar quick disco's
A Smittybilt C.R.E.S cargo top (summer)
And also got a new premium soft top with tinted windows.

Showing a before and after to the point I'm at now with my cargo top

My new soft top

New windshield decal

Found a stock jeep rubicon to compare my build to except the rubi already was a little taller then mine stock and also had bigger tires then my old stock tires.

Comparing my lift to the stock rubi height

Coming up within the next couple weeks will be regearing to 4.88s, gusseting the front axle with thw artec full armor, and 37" mud grapplers then sell off my old tires, and then finally cutting my flares or maybe buy some bushwacker flat flares!

Can't wait!!!!

And a couple light offroading pics for fun

Nice build. Did your girlfriend make you change the sticker on the windshield?
Curious if you have anything protecting the pinch seam and rocker panels?
I'd recommend rubicon rock rails, and the ace engineering rock sliders. See how the look on mine.

I love Dozer related threads. I too am a round light fan. I went with a light bar and added PIAA lights. Rig looks good.

Did I read correctly going to 37" on the stockers? Or new wheels as well? Thats a lot of meat on the stockers.

To be honest if you ask anyone they will tell you that they like the matte black grille more. It adds some ruggedness to the jeep haha

I can get some pics tonight but the light bar attaches to the 4 bolts on the side of the windshield by the mirror

What's an upfitter switch lol and they run through the bottom of the bar then under the cowl. Then through the fire wall to the switch

The ace rock sliders are a step too, plus they're made in USA. For me, that was important, as was the quality of the two products. Do a search on any jeep forum or google comparing the two and see what folks report back
