My first Jeep...

Well, I picked up my first Jeep on Thur. Due to work, crappy weather, and a touch of the flu, I've not been able to get out too much, but I've been able to have a little fun.

Yep, this is my first Jeep...and my first 4wd....and my first non-car (if you don't count sportbikes). In case you didn't see my other thread here, I finally chose a Rubicon Unlimited. It took me months to decide exactly what I wanted...and even longer to talk me away from my car. It's a huge transition. Today was photo day for the Jeep lol. I went out, fairly close to home, and looked for places just to run it off road a little. Basically I just wanted to get a taste of what it could do. I found some back roads with lots of mud and pot holes, etc., and was pretty impressed.

I started this thread because I wanted to share a few of the photos I took

I gotta say, I'm hooked. I'm still gonna miss my car and I look forward to a day where I can have a good Jeep and a fast car....but that's not today.

I can't wait until I find some better places to mess around with the jeep. There are lots of places here in Kentucky, but I've just not had the time yet to explore. I will soon, I'm sure.

Anyway, thanks all for the advice in my other two threads.

A little off-topic, but did you use a lens baby or a t-s lens for the second to last pic?

Jeep looks great against the Fall colors.

Good job of it, though. Looks just like the effect you'd get using a tilt-shift.

I haven't crossed over into editorial yet....but probably will soon. I understand the need for image purity though.

amazing......my 1961 Kharmann Ghia was capable of folding the top back at a red light without leaving the drivers seat....

oh, and NICE new Jeep! There's nothing as pleasing as motoring off into a new day with the satisfaction of "the Hunt" properly completed.
