My first mod

Not the most exciting mod, but gota start somewhere!!

Rugged Ridge Side Armor

They're nice and solid!!
Even though it extends downward, it's no lower than the lowest point under the Jeep, so you're not losing any clearance.

Next mod will be the RR XHD front and rear bumpers, but not until the summer...

Looks great. I'm hoping to get those on mine when I can get some money saved up. How was the install?

Lowest price I found was at this place:
RRC Side Armor 2007-10 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Doors, Textured Black: JeepParts4Less.com

The install was very easy once I figured out a few things.

1 - even though it's not labeled, they must go on the proper side, I put them on the wrong sides at first and they rattled like crazy. I thought I just didn't tighten the nuts enough, but I switched sides and now they are on rock solid!

2 - The instructions tell you to loosen the 18mm bolt, I'm guessing to make access to the 16mm bolts easier.
Unless your fingers are on the fatter side, this step isn't necessary...I was able to wiggle my fingers in there to get the nuts back on the bolts just fine.

3 - not a big deal, but having an extra set of hands would make the install super quick. I did it alone and it took me a little bit to do. If you do it alone, find something to support the armor while you bolt it on. I used a combo of just holding it and a bucket.
