My first mod

Hi everyone, I did my first mod on the machine today. I installed Rugged Ridge 4" oval side steps, black powdercoated. Prolly not a big deal to most but sure is to me! Looks real nice and I got a pretty sweet seal on them ($221. delivered). Well I'm sure this is just the beginning since they make so many cool mods for these machines. But this is the first, already thinkin I should have bought some rock rails instad of the steps. lol...Dale

It's all downhill from here, now you'll never stop spending money on it.
Post up some pics.

Yeah, definitely a "pics or it didn't happen" kind of place.

Until you establish otherwise, I say your steps came powdercoated in pink.

Your first mod is always your proudest moment and the downfall of your cash flow over the next several months

Just remember if you don't have pics then your mod never happened here and you may be accused of driving a Yugo, lol.

Welcome to the insanity...
I need to get pics of my Borla exhaust up, too (probably wait until I get it back on the lift since the ones I took from underneath look really bad). So far, I've spent something between 1500 and 2k - and that doesn't include suspension, wheels, or tires. Somewhere in a math reference book there's a formula that has to look something like:
Jeep = Sailboat = Firearm = House = Computers = Every_Dime_You_Had_Have_Will_Have

OK guys, here's pics

Well here are some pics, now you all know I don't drivre a Yugo, or have pink tube steps! ha,ha, that was funny as hell! Got my attention though, no more talk of new mods without proof. I also thru a spare tire cover on her, so took a shot of that so you can see it is black.
Next I need to come up with a name for her. Been thinkin about a name since I got it, coming up blank. Maybe when I get out on the trail something will come to me.

Woot!! J.E.E.P. Just empty every pocket. Welcome in. And if your bolts are tough and you don't drop on just the tube your bars ARE rock rails. And most people (until they give it a real name) just call it tha rig. I like "the machine" as stated above.

I attempted the "Name my JK on the trail" procedure.

It was my first real offroad experience in my JK and I was very excited and extremely impressed with the capabilities but, I still think I can come up with a better nickname than "Damn".
