My First Rubicon

Hi All,

My first JKU was a 2007 sport. Traded up for a 2011 Sahara JKU with all the toys. Just got rid of her for my first Rubicon. Picked it up today, drove it home & took off the lid.
I love the new engine and can feel the difference when shifting gears. Very happy with my new purchase!

Thanks for the support!
Currently Plasti-Dipping the grille. Never thought I'd have so much fun watching paint dry!
Does anyone have any tips on Plasti-Dipping the door locks?

Use masking / painters tape for a clean edge around the locks.

I'd remove the locks, should be pretty easy.

PS I love the new material on the soft top. Does anyone have anymore info on it? It's quite a bit different than my 2011.

Yeah, really. I like to do things right. The door panel comes off pretty easily with a few bolts. You can then disco the locking rod and the clip that holds the assembly. That way you don't have to worry about overspray and get a nice professional look. Jes' Sayin'
