My roof is leaking!

Hi everyone, im new to the forum, so nice to meet you all. I just bought a 2007 wrangler x 2 door about 2 weeks ago. I took the top down for about 15 minutes just to test it out. Now the passenger side of the roof is leaking. Its twords the very front top of the window where the roof and door meet, right by where the foam and rubber touch. To put the roof back on i first tucked in the plastic tabs and then did the latches. Did I do something wrong? How do I fix this? This is my first jeep so I dont really know what im doing. Thanks in advance for the help. -Brian

I bet you have the top on wrong. Re-do it, or stop by your dealer and have them show you.

My roof leaks too, but its a 7 year old soft top.

follow the instructions in the manual. be careful with the placement of the panels. do not over tighten the bolt.

I guess I've been lucky with the original Pavement Ends OE top. 13 years, no leaks, rips, or tears.

My 12 yr old is doing well. One small repair had to be made on driver side at the hinge in the side spreader bar. Dry otherwise.

The JK's 2007 are having issues with the freedom top leaking

Make sure your bolts are screwed in correctly but don't screw
them in too tight since I heard they strip easily.

If all else fails take it back to the dealer so they can correct the problem!!

not that this matters or anything but i had my dealer attempt to show me how to operate my sun rider style top and they didnt know how to latch it back to keep the wind from picking it up.

Welcome aboard!

You've been given good advice so far. Try it again and if that fails let the dealer have it. Let us know how it turns out!
