My trans seems to slip in my 2007 wran. unlimited?

I have a 2007 Wrangler unlimited. Just over 90k miles. The trans seems to slip (always has) when I "punch it" to pass etc. Anyone else have this issue? If not, can i still have it replaced?

Auto or manual?

Are you sure it's slipping and not a hesitation/delay like "some" JK's have ?

2007 "slipping"

It is an automatic. The engine revs so high (6500 rpm), I immediately take my foot off the gas. It feels as though i have the clutch engaged or if it was in neutral.

I have the oil changed every 3000m by my mechanic. He does a quick once over whenever he has it.

Would a faulty torque converter cause slipping?

Few other things that can be your problem
But you said its always done it?

You buy the jeep used ?
