Hey guys, i tried a search, couldnt find what i was looking for, I had a mygig in my 08 srt8 and to be honest i miss it!, sound was good and i miss the hard drive built in to hold mp3's and pictures. my vehicle has the 130 kit which is the base model cd player..

questions consists of:

1. can a mygig double din be installed on a 2012 jk that doesnt come with it as a option?
2. is it plug and play? obviosly i'd need to buy a microphone etc. but do i need to add anything wiring wise?
3. how does it mount?

thanks! :punk:

Do you want sirius sat? If so you will have to run a wire up to your roll bar. I have a brand new 730n RER with a Nav antenna I would consider selling to you if you want it. You would have to buy a Mic for phone calls and thats it if you don't already have uconnect in your JK.

If you have sirius then no you won't have to run the wire. Does yours have voice calls/uconnect?

I installed the MyGig (RER) in my 09 JKU and it plugged right in and worked. The 09 had no microphone, so I had to buy and install that. The satellite antenna just plugs in as well, and you should already have that.

I bought mine off eBay, just make sure it is compatible. Some are for high speed can-bus and some are for low speed.

2012s are completely different than 09s. Uconnect modules have a lot to do with whether it will work or not.
