Naked vs Tube Doors...Why?

I am new to jeeping and offroading. I have been driving around town with doors off (jeep is naked not me). What are reasons to spend the money for tube doors for my JK Unlimited? Safety? Keeping passengers in? Keeping car and trail accidents out? Vanity? I'd like to hear why people chose tube doors and if they are happy with that choice. I am thinking the the Best Top Element Doors might be the way to go if I end up deciding to go with tube doors. Thanks in advance.

I would purchase them for the kids if I had kids. If I get grand children, I would either run with the doors on the back or at least tube doors. Most likely doors. Front doors off when I could.

I don't see any difference between my kids and my grandkids. If I'm keeping the doors for my kids, I'll keep them for my grandkids. I wouldn't see any difference between my children and my children's children. I sure hope you aren't saying you'll be less safe with your grandkids, because it sounds like it.

I think the tube doors are there for you to lean on, not necessarily for safty or keeping the elements out, short of you rolling the truck onto a rock pile. They are there to lean on if needed, I'm thinking.

Gulp, no grand kids yet. My youngest is 15, he should know better to be horsing around in the jeep and accidentally get pushed out! With small children, you never know what they will do next. That is why they have child seats....and doors! I wouldn't trust a child in my jeep without a door to "keep them in".

My first wasn't until I was 31. I still worry about them including my daughter who will be 22 on Sept. 1.
