Just asking, but why would you want to install that nav? It is like $1500 to buy when you can buy an aftermarket double din nav for less then $700.

I bought my unlimited with the stock stereo. Then bought a pioneer navi until and installed it myself. Took about an hour or so. Pretty simple to do.

Not to get too far off topic but I have the 6 disc changer that plays dvd's and I want to take it out and hook a monitor to it. How can I take the unit out without messing up the security system? I've been told it will disable the unit if I take it out.

Why would you want the damn thing. Spend 99 bucks on the garmin and use your money for something better. The navigation system I have on my 08 blows. Eventually I might need to pony up for an upgrade but I don't use it enough at the moment to justify it and I might as well just go spend 99 bucks on the garmin and say the heck with the software upgrade.

You diffidently can. However I doubt its worth the money. Unless you truly want the stock look I would go after market. There are a lot of nice in dash units in the $500 dollar range that will be just as good as the mygig.

However I've seen used ones for sale in that range as well. The unit out of other some other Chrysler vehicles will work. However the unit has to come out of a vehicle with the same CANBUS as the JK. I can't recall if its the high speed or the low speed you want

I have a Zumo 550 for my motorcycle. It came with an auto mount too, so I just move it back and forth. Seeing as it is for a motorcycle it is waterproof, so if it starts to rain when I have the top down, I don't have to worry about it.
