Need a hand with a odd sound.

2008 sport manual..

When driving home wed, i turned up the hill to my house and it started making a loud odd sound.

It is kind of like the sound you get if you were to be two gears to high.
clutch felt fine give it gas and the sound was still there but it accelerates just fine.

Next day on my way to work nothing it sounds runs great.
on my way home i turn the corner and same sound.

Today i take it for a hour drive, it seems i get the sound when going up hill.
The steeper the hill the louder it is.

Anyone one have any idea?
Ill take it to the dealer ship but i know it wont make it for them.

wild guess and could be wrong ...clutch? I first noticed lack of power and "slight over revving" when going up hills....drove for 6 months/ maybe a year before I had it replaced...eventually it would "slip" when on flat level ground if I accelerated hard...even with the clutch all the way out.
