Question Need a new windshield / Good price? / Im in SoCal any suggestions?

current installed price is $400 (and change) for oem through safelite / Anyone have a better option

ps-sorry if this has been asked before or if I am in the wrong forum for this type of thing

Are you sure your insurance doesn't cover it? Where I am, glass is covered with 0 deductible.

I never call insurance but my last windshield was $125 installed at my location.

Thanks for the thought and response - I tried that and I would be out of pocket for the deductible which at $500 is more than the glass

okay problem solved (thanks again for all the responses) - called a local shop near me (Jeeps r us in laguna) to see if I could get a local referral and they came through with a local shop

$155 for non-original glass and $250 for oem installed / I went with the latter

That sucks. Glass insurance is part of the policy around these parts and is no cost to the policy holder. Contact your insurance company and see if they have a glass rider. It's usually extremely cheap (like $3 a month.)
