Need advice on spare tire, 3rd brake..ordered tires today!

So the new tires and wheels are finally on the way...

35" Duratracs on 17" XD Misfits

I'm putting on a 2.5" Rough Country coil lift. I'm going to upgrade my shocks to the Ranchos a little later.

I recently upgraded my 3rd brake light to the IPCW LED light, so I really want to keep that.

For now, I'm just going to use one of the spare tire extension brackets on the rear. Will work on getting new bumpers with tire carrier a little later as well.

My question is...

I've looked at several different 3rd brake light extensions and spare tire brackets. I like the Teraflex 3rd brake light extension, but I'm just trying to make sure I find a spare tire extension that will be compatible with it. Any advice?

Also, if you were me, would you also add 1.5" spacers to the setup?

Thanks.

Smittybilt makes a spare mount for about 130 that reuses and relocates the spare and 3rd light to clear everything.
Its also built to handle the 35.
Aev also makes a chmsl led 3rd brake led that pokes through most rims and attaches to spare tire mounts.
As far as using spacers, are you talking about on the rims or on springs?

I'm sorry, I was referring to wheel spacers. Trying to decide if I should add wheel spacers to the mix to prevent scrubbing with 35s on a 2.5" lift.

Looks like the Smittybilt may be my best option for now. Anyone else have experience using something else?

i bought the teraflex tire carrier without the hing part for $189. i tried the smittybilt it was nice it just wouldnt work at all with 3.75 backspacing. i didnt like the 3rd brake light bracket that came with the teraflex so i installed a led brake light in my center cap its just a $18 trailer tail light.
Now i want led tail lights.
