I've heard so many negatives about doing stuff at the dealership. I guess I am lucky. The dealership where I live will match other prices, part for part. They have a great parts dept. and some great mechanics who know Jeeps. They all have lifted Jeeps where they work. I went in and told them I wanted a Teraflex lift and they said no problem. I told them what I wanted on the lift (parts + 2 1/2"), what tires I was going to put on them (KTM's), what wheels (Pro Comp), what Rock Sliders I wanted, Smittybilt grab handles, my windows tinted darker, lock for the hood, locks for the door hinges, what tire carrier I wanted and what diff covers I wanted (ARB). They said no problem. I knew my prices from other places and what everything would cost. I even told them I wanted the tires and wheels from Discount Tire and that Discount would buy back my new tires and wheels the Jeep came with. They told me they get their tires and wheels from Discount and I would get the Discount coverage on the tires and wheels and they would buy my tires and wheels.
The bottom line, I got all this for just under $5,000 which I thought was a good price. That included labor. It took about 4 days for all the parts to come in, they called me and got everything done in one day. So if your dealership says $6k just for a lift, go somewhere else. Guess I am lucky to have such a great dealership.
