Need help with my Trektop-anyone have these issues?

I have a Trektop that is about two years old now. It was new when I bought it, but second hand. I love the top. I love the ease of use and how it makes my Jeep look.

I am having some issues that may make it unusable soon.

The way that the rear door surrounds are shaped, make the top very hard to pull over and now I have tears on both sides. (pics below)

Passenger side

Driver side

I noticed today that the header bar is cutting through the top

I am sure that I can get my top fixed, but I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else and what you did to stop these things from happening.

Thanks,
Dan

None of the damage in the pictures look like wear, or old age, it looks like rips. Did it rip when you were putting the top on?

Yes. Due to the way the door surrounds are shaped, by me pulling the top over to connect it to the body, the top ripped.

I am just wondering if anyone else has has this happen to them and if anyone has any suggestions to fix it.

Thanks,
Dan

Yes, I have that problem as well and mine is new. I also have the issue of the door surrounds cutting into my door seals and it has caused permeant damage to them.
