need help with sale?

So I recently sold my car and I'm in the market for a 2013 wrangler unlimited. My question is when would be the best time to buy one? Does anyone know when the big incentives will be applicable for the 2013 wrangler. I would just get one know but my wife is concerned about the higher APR and lower incentives right now. I'm checking up on the jeep sites everyday and haven't seen anything yet.

There are no incentives. Jeep Wranglers are selling without them and there is no reason for Chrysler to incentivize them.

Go get an auto loan from a credit union for the generally lowest rate and find a dealer that is motivated to sell units, not maintain a museum of current models. There are also Tread Lightly, affiliate, employee, etc. programs too if you join or qualify.

If you want a motivated dealer, I'd go here:

Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Dealer | New & Used | Northfield, IL

They are member/sponsor here and lots of great reviews. I really wish I had dealt with them when I bought my 2013.

From everything I've seen over the last six months or so, jeep doesn't really offer incentives on wranglers. The only ones I know of are military and lease conquest. So you may as well go ahead and bite the bullet.

As for APR, check out PenFed.org. They are currently offering 1.99% for 72 months with zero down. They allow you to apply online and pay online. You do have to pay a one time membership fee, but it's only like $25. We used them when we purchased Mike's JKU last November and plan to use them again for mine when it comes in.

Also, if you tell us your location, people might chime in with local dealers that are good to work with. If you are closer to Florida than Chicago, Fields also has another dealership in Sanford, Florida.

Good luck finding your perfect jeep!

I live in charleston SC. I was thinking about buying it from Hoover dodge/jeep dealership in Summerville. So the wranglers never have a incentive.

No incentives except military and lease conquest. You can go to jeep.com and request a brochure. SOMETIMES they mail out $500 coupons, but they are VERY few and far between, and there is no guarantee you will get one. It's worth a shot though.

I just got 1.49% interest for 60 months on a new JKUR thru TD financial which I guess is owned by Chrysler financial. I did put down approximately 17000 tho so that may have helped with the low interest rate.

I had to laugh at that one. TD stands for Toronto Dominion bank. They are one of the largest banks in Canada, and are becoming a major player in the US. No, Chrysler doesn't own them.

Make sure you read the fine print on them. Their online pricing doesn't include freight even though its on the sticker.

Take their pricing to your local dealer and give them a shot. Driving 6 or 7 hours to save a few hundred bucks isn't worth it if you burn that in gas just getting there.

I got 1.49 for 72 from Chase through the dealer. My credit union was 1.99.

Thanks guys. I really want to buy a new wrangler unlimited. I just have to wait till I get my money from my bonus and pay it off in full or get a decent loan/incentive then pay it off when I get my bonus.

I got my wrangler here in Texas for 5% under invoice. Pat at Fields DCJ gives forum members 2% under invoice. You just have to be willing to shop around and sometimes DRIVE to make your best deal. I know of several people in Florida who have driven the 3.5 hours to go to Fields in Sanford. And there have been multiple people who have flown into Chicago to pick up their jeeps from Pat.

There's another thread that was started this weekend that may help you out:

Actually, he was half wet. TD acquired Chrysler Financial, so there is a link, just opposite what he thought.

TD completes Chrysler Financial acquisition

TORONTO, April 1, 2011 – TD Bank Group (TD) (TSX and NYSE: TD) today announced the closing of its acquisition of Chrysler Financial, creating a top 5 bank-owned auto lender in North America.

“The completion of this transaction represents yet another important step in the ongoing expansion of our business and allows us to accelerate the growth of our loan book through the addition of a great organic growth platform to the TD family,” said Tim Hockey, President and CEO, TD Canada Trust.

Hockey added: “Chrysler Financial represents an excellent opportunity to grow our presence in a large North American market. Simply put, we’ve gained a well-run business with great potential for significantly higher future returns.”

TD’s existing retail auto lending business will be combined with Chrysler Financial. TD expects to rebrand Chrysler Financial under the TD Auto Finance brand later this spring. The business will be headquartered in Toronto and continue to operate on a North American basis overseen by current Chrysler Financial CEO Tom Gilman. Gilman will report jointly to Hockey and to Bharat Masrani, President and CEO, TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank.

“We are very pleased to become part of TD. The new business combines Chrysler Financial’s powerful platform and proven track record with TD’s financial strength and lending expertise,” Gilman said. “This transaction provides dealers, customers and employees with great opportunities for success.”

“We’re excited about taking our auto-lending business to the next level with this acquisition and look forward to providing great service to customers and dealers across North America,” Hockey concluded.

I got one with no haggling for $36450 that had a msrp of 40005 so not sure why you would not get under invoice.

In June I bought out my Wrangler that was financed under TD Financial and in June I was told TD Financial no longer offered vehicle loans so I went through CIBC.

I got mine for 3% under invoice last year. Find out exactly what you want, E-mail a bunch of dealers in your area the price you want to pay and see who will play ball.

I was also one of the fortunate ones that also got the $500 coupon by requesting a catalog and I was a Tread Lightly member.

Jeep.ca has been advertising a $3250 discount on all 2013 Wranglers since the Spring. I bought a $25000 msrp sport in April for 21k and a couple months later traded it in on my $50000 msrp 10A. I got it for 43k. The dealer started with the 3250 discount right away but I used the affiliate program to get the extra cash off. You should be able to get 12 to 14 % off sticker if you find a good dealer.

A few months ago jeep was offering a $1000 rebate if you owned a VW. Also look for a 2012 COD MW3 I found one for 33500 JKU!! They are heavily discounted.

I guess they are back then. When I thought about a trade in, the dealer also said that RBC did the financing ( my wife caravan is RBC financed) TD was not available at that time.

Ok. Is it easier to haggle for pricing under invoice with cash in hand to pay it off or finance some of it. I plan on putting 16k down now or waiting and paying it off it full later.

no let them believe you are going to finance the entire amount. Sometimes they will tack on a percent to make up for the lost money from the sticker

Thank you. I'm just looking for the best way to get the best deal. My previous cars have all been from individual seller not the dealership so I have no idea how to talk them down, other then just saying no and walking away.

Do your research, decide what you want, what you want to pay, what terms you want if financing - and ask the dealer if they can play ball. If they say no - ask another dealer. Folks here should be pretty helpful to help you ballpark once you decide exactly what you want.

A few years back my sister wanted a Jeep Patriot. She decided exactly what options she wanted down to color, decided she would pay $X, pay $X cash and finance rest at X%. She contacted probably every Jeep dealer in Phoenix. Some of them outright say "nope". Some were jerks and tried to "but if you come in we can upsell you". She held out. Finally after about 4 months a dealer called-had her vehicle in stock and agreed to her terms. We went and picked it up 2 hours later.
