Need measurnments please.

I did not take before measurements when the lift was installed

I am not to happy with the rear height after the lift. The front is close to 1.5-2" higher than the rear. it seems I only got about an 1" in the back.
TF list 3" front and 2" rear.

I already talked to TF, they told me to drive
around a bit and let the springs settle. Then if I am still not happy, they will replace my rear coils or get me a set of spacers to get the jeep level

Just curious on where I am at since I failed to take before measurements.

Still waiting on new shocks. See if that will do anything for me.

Anyhow... I need some stock measurements PLEASE!!

*Ground to bottom of the flares, front /back.

*Mid wheel to bottom of the flares, front/back

* ground to bumper front/back.

Thanks a bunch

Ken

Sorry to hear this. Quick, throw a winch on the front to push it down.

Thanks Dag.

Not a prob if my front was say 3" and back
2" ish.

From numbers that I have seen, I only got around 1" in the back. I also see a lot of people with the same lift- being up in the front 1/2" addition of a heavier bumper/winch- it would level the jeep out nicely. But 2" difference?

Pics don't do justice. It is very obvious though
.

I seriously think your stock rear shocks are about to blow trying to hold those rear springs down(Even with extenstion) Get the shocks Kj, seriously, then we can see the real issue if there is any at that point.

I used to have to force struts in, those biotches can raise a car like a mofo, jeep should be no different. Bilstein gives their 5100 lift shock a 2-3.5" tolerance, LoL!

Change your shocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit" 2-3.5" falls in your tolerance zone.

2nd Edit: TF 2.5" raised my jeep almost 3.25"... Shocks play a part well before that point.

Didn't you get the Bilsteins after install? Were these observations made prior to shock replacement?

Knew you would show up

This is not a question to figure out why.

I am looking for stock heights- regardless if the new shocks do bump it up some or not.

Just to clarify..

Are you running the lift without proper shocks in the rear?

They are semi crucial

I was 36.75" from center hub floor to fender (40" all way around after)

Kj, you are fine, stop stressing! I want to buy you a beer after all this, and I feel that will happen after I drive to install your shocks, ha!

Edit: I used to live in Berlin, up in CT, and hartford before that

The Bilsteins "once they actually show up" should be easy to put in. If you put them in and your still having issues with your lift then get back to TF. Don't the coils have numbers like the stockers? If so, I can check mine tomorrow morning and tell you what I have for the rear and front. Mine is level all around.

Stock rubi with supplied TF extensions.

I called TF.

Told me the shocks/ext. should not make a difference. All I know TF was great.
We did agree on the new shock install and some miles. But the rear is not going to "grow" lol

Anyhow. Whatever goes of this, he wanted to make it right.
Either sending me 3" coils 2D or possibly 2.5" 4D coils to correct it.
TF spacers in the rear are an option also.
(I've seen others do this)

My rear is not even close to 40" I do have factory 32's with some miles but...

Awesome... Thanks for the assurance.

Pisses me off I forgot to pre-measure.

Definitely not grow, but wont hold the rear suspension down, which is what I think is happening. Sorry if I am wrong. I had a Mitsu GSX, and Talon Tsi, in which you actually did have to keep the straps on shock/struts, or they were not getting installed, period.

I want to say I'm right, but I am proven wrong, a lot since meeting the woman I am going to marry...

I also wanted to add...After seeing the quality of the TF kit, I am sure it is not spring related, if everything was sent to you correctly.

Yes they do.... I crawled under and verified
the coil number in the rear with TF.

We did not look at the fronts though.

Mid wheels to bottom Flare I am almost 2" higher in the front. About 36" ground to flare rear. 38" front.

Def will take you up on that if TF doesn't hold to their word.... Which I believe they will.

Hoping NEW12 is correct.

Am I stressing "yes"

But this is just to get some stock measurements to know where I am at. Even after the fix

This is my last post I promise. Typically shocks in a DOWN-Drop (Lower, for cornering), wont matter too much, as they are placing positive friction downard.

Jeeeeeeeps, However, are looking for vertical movement UP and DOWN, not a typical shock can handle say, Sway bar's disconnected...to, Highway driving, being held down, plus additional up or down flex (ShockWise, not suspension) Hitting small to big speedbumps.

Anywho, I can't wait til you post that you are happy

Good thing is, hardest part about shock install is removing the tire

I can't wait to see your results!
