Need Opinion on Grille Inserts

Looking for some opinions on two different style grille inserts I'm looking at.

Rugged Ridge 11401.30:

or the 11401.31:

Anyone have either of these? I like the looks of both but I can't decide. I want black for sure, I have a black jk.

Thanks!

fair enough. I am going to lowe's soon and was going to look into that as well. Just don't know how I'd do billet style inserts myself lol. The mesh looks really easy though.

I've seen some DIY inserts on here that look fantastic. From basic to very clever/different ideas.

I have the Drake Off Road billet inserts in black. I think they look better than the mesh.

Thanks! Very helpful. I'll be making a trip to lowe's for sure now. I'm a DIY type of guy, but a bit hesitant since she's brand new.

I hear you. Take your time and pay attention to the little things, and you'll be fine. I've drilled my Jeep in several places, cut the pinch seams with a sawzall, and de-badged it. Nobody who didn't know what to look for would ever be able to tell.

The first word on a blank page is always the toughest.

Agreed. I'll take all the time needed to make it look great.

Check out the Rugged Ridge mesh grill. Theres a recent thread here somewhere. I have them and highly recommend them. $50 isnt much to spend on a $30k Jeep! Looks OEM and is solid, not plastic.

When you say they look gay, you think it makes it look like the vehicle is driven by a homosexual?!?

I think what he meant was gay as in out of place, weird, etc. as in the jeep is gay not the driver.

Exactly. BUT who am I to judge. Right? I just wouldn't do it myself.
I've seen Jeeps with chrome molding aaaaall around it's edges, also not my thing but others might like it.

He was asking for opinions, that was mine.

I'm on the opposite side of things in that I'm going with the one offered by Metalcrafters in black.
Metal Crafters MC-9660WRA - Metalcrafters Chrome Plated Stainless Steel Mesh Grill Inserts for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

My reasoning is that it is extremely well made out of quality materials. I'm intending this to be a permanent addition to my Jeep.
-an investment, if you will.
That thing is huge, will strengthen the plastic grill, and looks like it will need little or no further attention after being installed.
That's what I like about it.

Please tell me you're joking.... Or rich as fawk... gotta be one of the two...

People that buy this shit drive Jeeps like this...

Why does this Jeep have 20" Chrome rims/low pro's on one side and mud tires with standard wheels on the other!??!
