OK been moving the last 2 days with my jeep and a hitch carrier. I ended up taking the spare off so I wouldn't have to remove the carrier everytime I went to load the back of the jeep. All I can say is wow, getting into the back using either the rear window or tailgate was a lot easier with the spare off!

So I want to move my spare somewhere else. Anyone else try this? Open to other ideas.

Here is what I was thinking. I want to add a front receiver hitch possibly to use when needed as a movable winch mounting point. I figured as few times as I think I would have to winch forward, it wouldn't be that bad to move the tire to put the winch there. I would keep it on the rear when wheeling. It also would be synthetic line to make it easy to move and have plugins front and rear. I plan to add a trans cooler to help lengthen the life of my auto.

So what do you think of the following:

1) Do you think it would block too much airflow, with the trans cooler added and cause the same engine to run hot?

2) Do you think a hitch mounted winch is usable?

3) Anyone know it there is a hitch mounted tire carrier or one that might have its own hitch mounting point so I wouldn't have to pull the spare if I moved the winch there?

4) Only other option I have seen is the orfab swing out tire carrier with jerry can holder or the one with rotopax. Anyone know how well these work? Can you do the tailgate style mod withe the orfab ?

Lots of questions I know, just thinking of a few ideas
