As the title reads. I want tail light guards and I don't understand why the OEM tail light guards are $130 and they only have three bars protecting the lens. The rugged ridge guards look good but I'm not sure. Would love some real world feed back thanks.
Go with rugged ridge...same as MOPAR for half the price. The last MOPAR set I saw at the dealer came in a rugged ridge box. Youre paying for the MOPAR "M" like the above post states.
I don't know that either of those guards will work 'better'. Just keep in mind that if you get hit (or bump into something back there), chances are greater that the guard will push into your quarter panel rather than just cracking the lens.
I love my rugged ridge taillight guards! They are mainly for looks only and to keep my crumb snatchers from hitting the lights. I dont believe they will cause additional damage if they are hit. If you hit them hard enough to push or dent them, then you are going to do damage with or without them. Just my 2 cents...:thumb:
I have the Rugged Ridge. No reason to spend any more $ on a mod like that.
