Hey my names Rodney im very new to the jeep life style im coming from sport cars and i needed something more practical for year round fun so i went out and bought a jeep its a 08 wrangler X i really like it so far i brought it on some trails but with less then 700miles on it i didnt want to beat it to bad.

well anyway i have a couple ?'s

1. what size tires can i put on it with stock suspension i was thinking of like the bfgoodrich MT's is that a good choice? can i do 35's?
2. what is the difference in the jk's cj's ect. again im really new to this.

You will need some lift to do 35's. Probably 3-4 inches to really be able to flex. You will also need 4 1/2 inch backspacing to clear everything, depending on how aggressive you are going to wheel it.

cj's were up to 1986
yj's were 87-95
tj's were 97-06
and your jk is 2007-present.

they are just model designations.

Oh, and by the way... congrats on your new habit, and welcome to our playground.

Jeep and practical in the same sentence....
Welcome aboard, Rod ---- but let me know how that practical thing goes for you.

I'm just coming off 3 Mini Coopers myself and have bled money for a while. I'm a car-ohaulic.
Dang; this Jeep is my 5th car in a year. But I think I'm okay now. I kept one Mini for the track and the Jeep fills my get dirty needs...
