New 2010 2dr Sahara Owner

Picked up my new JK Sahara yesterday and love it! What an upgrade from the TJ's as far as amenities, quietness of ride and overall feel! Rocking stereo as well!

I did feel the throttle response as well as nearly wearing my calf out keeping the throttle pressed. Hopefully a Superchip in the near future will help with that.

On another note, on my way home on county roads crusing anywhere from 60 - 70 I averaged 22.5 according to the MPG display, even if it is off by 2 mpg, I am still pleased. That's with a stuffed tank of gas.

Today will be spent washing and adding chrome!

congrats on the new jeep. you got alot better MPG then i did when i first got my 2010 sahara, i was getting around 11.5-12mpg! i am closer to 18mpg now and even got 19 one time. but most of mine is city driving.

when you put the chrome on post some pictures. what chrome are you adding to yours? i was thinking about adding the chrome door handles and door handle dishes. but am unsure how they would look. i have the grill, mirrors and gas cap right now.

that looks awesome man! i gotta order my door handles pretty soon. did you look into the door handle dishes/bazels? i was considering those because my wife scratches the paint with her rings when she opens the doors. i think they may be too much though in one spot. they look ok in the pictures from mopars site. but it doesnt show a far away picture either. ya have to look on mopars website to see a picture of them as i cant seem to find a good link to post for ya and here is a picture of my JK.

Nice looking Rig Guy. I started to do the chrome grille as well but didn't wanna blow my chrome budget on that just yet.

I have seen the chrome door handle dish and thought about it, but like you said, it may be a little much in one spot for my taste.

Ebay and autoanything.com has been my suppliers of choice. You can usually get pretty good prices.

My two favorite colors........Black and Chrome!

Some people like Chrome, some don't, that's cool.

I'm with you Bry. I myself like the ALL black look on my jeep. But I think some CHROME wheels would really make it stand out!

Congrats.

When my Sahara was a virgin it got nearly 27 mpg for three tankfulls during a roadtrip. I used my gps for the mileage; the odometer called it even higher.
Now that it's got mods it's difficult to break 18 mpg.

I started getting my best mileage at around 4K miles. It loosens up a bit.

i thought about the wheels, but i also would like to do abit off roading and the wheels would get pretty messed up. so i decided to go with a different set to go off roading with and the stockers to drive around town with. alittle chrome here and there looks good and true chrome is not for everybody. thats the cool thing about wranglers, they are one big lego and you can do anything to it to customize it to how you like!

to all the other haters who dont have an open mind i say
