Smile New 2013 JKU Sport

So I now have my new Jeep. JKU Sport with an auto trans & 3.73 LS gears. Dual top package, connectivity, & max tow. True Blue Pearl is sharp. I really like this color. A little back story on this. I wanted this setup but nobody would deal on one as the 2012's were coming to an end. My dealer placed an order for this one and sold me a 12 that was not what I wanted with a promise in writing that I would get everything back on the 12 when my 13 came in. They did honor the agreement. I found out today that the 13 came in while my sales guy was off. Another sales manager did not notice it was ordered for me and traded it off to some place in South Carolina. My guy called in to tell them I was coming in for it and had to get it back. According to him it was an hour away from the other dealer and they had the guy turn around with it. Over all I am happy. Here are a couple of pics.

picking her up Friday night.

In the garage for the night.

Daylight pics

Out for a drive today in this nice weather.

I just finished putting the soft top on for the first time. I used many bad words. I know it is supposed to be tight the first time, but I almost did not get the top on. I had it parked in the 90* sun all afternoon. I did prevail and the top is on!

Thanks to all of you for the tons and tons of information on her. Now I just need to enjoy her for a while before I empty every pocket.

True Blue is a great looking color! Reminds me of midnight blue.

When you figure out the tricks the top is is really easy. It is criticle that you get the side latch/buttons clicked in before you try and latch the visor latches.....it really is easy even for one person.

Nice looking Jeep.... How many time do you check in on her? I think I made sure mine was ok in the garage often.

Love the color also.... congrats.

HERE, not her. I could not figure out how to edit. Thanks for the replies guys. I was floored when I saw the color in person. The color patch on the screen does not do it justice. I am going to leave the top on for a few days to stretch out in the sun. I had read enough posts about doing this in the sun on a warm day so I had the top up and sunning itself for 90 minutes before I ever tried to set the corners. That was the hard part for me. The windows all set in easy. They have a true blue unlimited Rubi sitting on the lot right now. There must have been 6 couples that looked at that jeep while I was there.

Congrats and kudos to you for not only taking off the hard top for a topless drive so quickly after purchase but for installing the softy too. Your on your way to adding a lift and bigger tires in your driveway before you know it.

Wife will not buy into the lift just yet. I will drive it for a while and see what I want to do. I don't want to do a bunch of stuff and then spend the money again.... I know I want some ACE rock rails & some Dually's on the pillars. I will get the top and doors off this weekend if the weather holds. I had such a hard time getting the soft top up I want to let it stretch in the sun for a week.

Just play around with the top. Once you figure out the little tricks with it, it goes on pretty easy. The kids had to stay in the house, the first time I tried to put the soft top on, to keep from broadening their vocabulary. After a few times, it's now a piece of cake.
