The MB72's come with a lug key that makes the stock wrench use-able. I did all four of mine with it.

So it's an issue, but it's remedied another way. Good to know.

The Black Rocks came with a special socket to take off the keyed lug nut on each wheel, but I can't use to stock wrench to get it there.

Yeah, with the MB's the "key" (for lack of a better word) is about 4-5 inches long and fits into the holes. The back of the key mimics the stock lugnut.

Man I love that pretty blue on your Jeep. I went with white as none of the other 2012 "Playskool" colors did much for me. If they would have had that blue this year though I guarantee my ride would not have been white.

thanks.

"Deep water blue." It was only offered in 2010, which really surprised me--because I thought it was a great color.

Two quick notes . . . .

First, I got my spare tire put on today. Black Rock had sent one wheel with the wrong bolt pattern originally, so I've been waiting for the right one to come in while leaving the stocker on the back. Looks a lot better in my opinion.

Second, as I suspected, my stock bumpstops are now too short. Since I assumed this would be the case, I ordered a set of the DayStar bumpstops from Jason at Krawl Off-Road last week. They're on back order though, so it'll be a little while. That said, since this combo of wheel/tire is so light, I'm not too concerned--though I'm definitely "on road only" until the new ones are installed.

Pics attached.

I swapped in some stiffer stock coil springs and a .75" spacer, so it's hard to tell exactly. No more than an inch and a half. Maybe just an inch.

I've got a 2.5" TeraFlex coil kit waiting for an install, though.

Nice.

Given that their 33" DuraTracs on the same wheels (albeit different sizes), these pics give a good indication of the difference between 15" and 17" wheels.

33s on 17" wheels:

33s on 15" wheels:

Center cap

Okay, here is my secret on painting center caps. Go or call your local jeep dealer. Ask them for touch up paint for your vehicle in the pen style. They had to order my rescue green ce in next day. Take off center caps, wash with soap/ water. Dry completely. Shake pen real well, and using metal ball aka ball point pen side, push down pen and slowly move along groove of lettering. Keep wet paper towel handy incase u smear a little outside the grooves.

***note on two of the five center caps I had to redo because it looked as if paint cracked up as it dried. So make sure u fill grooves with enough paint. The two I redid we're pain in the a$&. I used paper clip in groove to remove old paint, scrubbed with scour side of dish sponge. Then had to do two coats because white lettering on others acted as a primer. Good luck take your time. I think it looks so much better than white letters. Love my blackrocks, but why put white letters on black wheels. Geez.

I was torn between the Black Rock Black/Tungsten D-window or the Level 8 Strike 5 Black/Machined lip. I wanted to be a little different and still have some black.

Looks good MTH.

I was a big fan of those wheels too--both the Level 8 Tracker and the Strike 5 were "almosts" for me. Looks good. What size lift/BFGs you got there?

The one I was inquiring about is the Level 8 Strike 5 that deepbluewrangler posted. Nah, the 15" Black Rock 909 backspacing is 4". The MB72 is 3.75". The only Level 8 wheel that I see in the 15x8 size on DTDs website is the Tracker, which has 3.3" backspace. I thought the ones that deepbluewrangler posted up were 15s, but based on the DTD website, the Strike 5 is only available in 16" and up. .

DeepBlue's signature says his wheels are 17". The smallest size the Strike 5 is available in is 16x8.5 with a -6mm offset (4.5"BS).

Thanks. I was on the phone app and it doesn't show signatures. Sure wish the Strike 5s were available in 15.

Sorry for the confusion all. I forgot the "sig" doesn't show up on all devices. It's a 3" BDS lift with 35's. 17x9 4.5" back spacing.

Hey MTH, what brush bar is that on your stock front bumper? All the ones that I see are too high IMO and yours looks really good.
