I just mounted a new fully functional Carbon fiber hood from RK Sport. The scoop forces air right to the air intake. Not only does it look amazing, but it functions as well. Great product, I highly recommend!!!!
Outstanding !!
I must have one.
Where did you get it ? What price ? What year is your Jeep ?
Because Jeeps 2012 and 2013 have different windshield spray nozzle configuration.
12 has one and 13 has two.
Good luck with that beauty !!
That looks really awesome on black. I'm not so sure it'd look right on any other color unless it can be painted.
Edit: It could be painted for sure on the fiberglass model.
From the link Duramaxxed posted:
Featuring a low-rise center scoop and heat extractors, RK Sport's Jeep hood provides additional engine cooling and ventilation. In addition, the company collaborated with Volant Performance, to make the scoop fully functional when using Volant’s cold air intake system (sold separately).
The hood attaches in minutes using the vehicle’s factory hinges, bolts, hood latch and spring. RK Sport’s unique method of fiberglass molding and construction prevents shrinking and ensures a factory-quality fit and finish. The hood is made in the U.S.A, and is available in full carbon fiber (PN-48011020 - $1195.95), with a carbon fiber top/ fiberglass underside (PN-48011010 - $925.95), or in full fiberglass (PN-48011000 - $695.95).
For more information contact RK Sport 26900 Jefferson Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562. (800) 214-8030. Visit. www.rksport.com.
Bad ass! And not a bad price either, $695.95 for the fiberglass version. Much cheaper than an AEV or Truck Masters. Looks like another mod to add to my ever-growing list  My wallet hates me :nonono:
Probably lighter as well...I'd consider the fiberglass version the carbon is too risky for damage and laying into canyons when wheeling...fiberglass i can fix fast and easily.

I was considering a smartass remark based on the threads title (such as "I hear these add 75 whp!" or "this really improves the balance of the 4 door model when drifting")
But
I like it it looks really good and not ricey like I was expecting. I would have reservations about rain being directly forced into an air box though....
I called RKSport regarding the Wrangler hood not being on their website. They apologized and explained that they are in the middle of transitioning to their newly updated and redesigned site which should be up in the next couple weeks. In the mean time they can be contacted via telephone 800-214-8030.”

Put 2 and 2 together he is from San Diego they are in temecula , and he has a product that is brand new and not on their site and they don't even have jeeps listed On the site
So either he works for them and pimping their products without being a vendor or he is friends with them pimping their product for them
Either way all I see is a big hole in the hood to get water into the intake quicker
But I live right down the street from them so I will be going by the shop to check them out now
Mike at RK SPORT is a friend of mine. I was at RK when I saw this hood being built. From that moment I had to have one. So I waited until it was completed, and then for a photo shoot. So I actually have the first hood built. I'm not trying to pimp a product, merely letting other Jeep enthusiast know about a product that they might want for their Jeep. As for getting water into the intake, not going to happen. Very well designed product, and even better to look at. It will be on their updated website shortly, or you can give them a call.
