New Drive Shafts

Hey guys I have lift on my jeep jk and I know I have to replace the drive shafts. I want to know if I can replace one first and then wait to replace the other one.

There's no rule that says you "have" to.

How much lift do you have ? Do you have adjustable control arms to set pinion angles ?

Most will run the stocks as long as possible. Usually the front will go first with the axle flexing putting stress on the joint. But No there's no order.

2 door the rear is shorter and pretty steep at 4"
Mines still holding at around 15k
Front squeezed some grease out the boot so I went and replaced.

My front managed to chew on the transmission pan. Replaced it with a cardan type from Tatton's. And replaced the transmission pan. Still trying to figure out how that happened. I have a few ideas.

3.5" Lift, 37" MTRs on my '07 JKU.

I have factory like new front and rear drive shafts for a JKU (4 door) if anyone needs them. In So Cal. Local pickup. Probably be expensive to ship.

This is one reason why the front gets replaced.
Longer shocks and axle travel causes contact.

Was doing some inspection after our wheeling day last weekend and discovered the pot is ripped on our front DS. Going to see how long it will go before making noise then replace with a Tom Woods. I am just going to do front initially then replace the rear down the road when it becomes an issue.

Just had a new rear shaft put in the wife's JKU at 10k miles after a wheeling accident.

I'm still running strong on my stock shafts at 18k miles (3" lift).

It's got something else to do with it too. The missus has a 4.5" adjustable arm on hers and her front shaft is untouched.
