Well im trading in my wifes audi tommorow maybe, i came to the dealer to late so my sales man going to give me the #s at 1100 am hope it works out 31,400.00 gecko unlimited hard top. I own a 03 tj auto 6 also but i gave it to my daughter the gas sucks did i say the gas sucksss. My wife and i drove a jk2011 unlimited in Puerto rico last week and shit it got really good gas mileage and the tops opened seperatly or all together nice feature my wifes family lives there and they told me to get the 2012 its better engine drivline. In puerto rico they have the mountaineer and tiki iditions pretty sweet. My wife was sold when she saw the gecko i told her about in person standing with one of my clients driving by and even he was taken back so the hunt has been on since! hope it works out.

I average 17 mpg in my '12 and I'm driving 24mph stop and go on a military base most of the week then hitting trails on weekends. She's pushing 35" tires too. I wouldn't call that bad. It's not a Honda civic after all.

I love my gecko, I'm sure your wife will too. Hope you're not a jealous hubby though..... I know mine gets me a lot of.... Attention. >.> lol

I get about 16mpg around town, 20-23mpg on the highway. if you drive 60mph you get 23. Drive 75 it drops to 20. I have a JKU, auto, 3.73 gears.

Terribly jealous. Get your Gecko. Gas mileage will be a lot better than TJ. Good luck on your deal.

I was getting in the 19s before I removed the air dam.
While it looks way cooler without it, I took a 3mpg hit until I installed a front skid plate and a filler plate to fill a gap between the skid and the bumper that results from it.

The combination is no where near as aerodynamic as the air dam, but it protects against more than air now, and I've gotten back 2mpg, putting me in the 18s.

I am hovering right around 16 mpg with my Gecko, I think currently 16.1 - 2012 Manual with 33's.

That's good info to share. We've removed the air dam on both of ours as well. We've got skid plates on order from poison spyder to go under the new bumpers but I think my rock rails held shipping up a bit on that order.

The air dam had to go though. We were catching it with our tires on hard turns in the parking lot. And then changing the bumper made it completely useless anyway.
