New half doors - glad I went Mopar

Not cheap, but they are the real thing. It's worth the extra money, IMHO.

By the time I got them painted, with uppers, close to 2k, round figures. Got a pretty good deal on them from Quadratec, but the painting was a bit of a bite (about $600 for the pair).
No regrets, though. You'd never know the jeep didn't come from the factory with them on.
I tried going doorless and didn't care for it. With the half doors, I doubt I will take them off until the snow flies and it's time to put the hardtop back on with full doors. Half doors doubled the fun of driving my jeep!

I take it rolling windows down, is not the same? I would just as soon take doors off?

No, the windows unzip, or you just pull the whole thing off.
If you like going doorless, go for it. It's my DD, and doorless wasn't really an option for me.

I'm so jealous! Looks great (love the wheels too btw)

I have to take care of my front bumper/winch needs first, but I really hope to get a set of half doors before too long

Great choice! I love the half doors and I agree with Beastmaster.

I like going doorless too, but have a need for doors on too, so halves work great And they're super light for taking off to go doorless.

Looks really good I just got my Mopar half doors last week. My favorite part is how well they work as an armrest while driving. The perfect height!!

Nice. I see you didn't go with the door-mounted windows. Did you assemble the doors yourself?

I do have the uppers, they're just not on in that picture. I had the dealer put the doors together for me.

Sorry, I mis-spoke. I meant door-mounted mirrors.

Ah, right. I went with the RR quick release mirrors as I also like to drive doorless. They look cool too

What is the downside to not having doors? I just took mine off and I haven't encountered any difficulties... yet.

Heh, yeah. I was thinking this would be an issue if I was removing the doors from my STi. But on the Rubicon? Probably not. ;]

Do half doors require a different soft top than the one that comes factory with full doors? Doesn't the sunrider latch occur in the door surround?

Nope. It occurs on the windshield. What I don't know is if the door surrounds are different, but I'm pretty sure they are not.

Sorry, said that wrong. The Sunrider latch is on the windshield, but if you want to lower the entire top, there is a latch on the door surround , I think (I have a '12). I can't see a door surround in you pic that looks like mine. (it only goes on with the soft top and must be removed with the hard top)

Nope, the door surrounds are identical.

Love my half doors. Jeeps just aren't "right" without 'em.

No it is not the same. Half doors when the uppers are removed give you a more open area as opposed to full doors. Take a good look at the pictures of half doors with the uppers removed. Then take a look at full doors. I agree doorless is great but half doors ALMOST give you the same affect as doorless. As opposed to the closed claustrophobic full doors. But if you like to take your doors off my post is a moot point. I capped ALMOST so as to not cause a riot amongst the purists.
