Wncian - Welcome to the forum!
There is a crowd in this forum that is like no other - all fanatics about Jeep ownership and the majority of them are ready and willing to help out at all levels from my experience. Hope you enjoy the Rubi! Are you considering any mods yet (we all do sooner or later) ...

First thing is to get a soft top for the summer. I think the first mod will be a brush guard and winch. I love that there are so many options for jeeps! There is really something for everyone!

That is awesome what a way to go....Rubicon Unlimited...owned mine now for 3 years and still have that smile from ear to ear.

Welcome to wrangler forum. I love this place. Friendly and helpful. They just helped me pull the trigger on an on board air system and two weeks ago pulled the trigger on a 12,000 lb winch now mounted on my stock bumper. JEEP - Just Empty Every Pocket. What a great ride.

Don't forget to wave to other jeepers.

It's a tradition.

Love the jeep wave! I turned in my leased H2 this morning and the only "wave" I ever got was the finger.

Which mounting plate did you get. I pulled my bumper cover yesterday to see what is underneath and the stock bumper is pretty lame. I cannot see spending 400 on a kit when you can buy a bumper for 6-800

Rough Country winch plate with D rings $240.00. Bumpers that I would purchase are on the high side. This will do until I get some more of that "new" outa tha jeep. The mount is solid and I trust it to hang the jeep on...after all it is a 12,000 lb winch and the jeep is only a little less than half that.

This was only a minor hijack and is sometimes the only way you will find details of a post the you are interested in. Follow this link to my winch install thread and you will see all the details. I provided links in that thread to where I got all the items and it has pictures. See you over there if you have any related questions.
