New here, need opinion...

Hello everyone. My wife and I just bought 2 07 Wranglers She got the 2door black 6spd and I got the 4door Army green Auto.

My question here is:

My Jeep, for instance, I get home from work and turn it off. Wait 5-10 minutes and turn it on again, I get this light annoying knock-knock-knock sound from the engine until I step on the gas, when it goes away. It only happens when the engine is warm.
My wife's Jeep doesnt do that !!!!

I took it to the dealer and they told me that was a normal sound from the emmissions solenoid purge valve. And that in some veh. are louder than others, maybe thats why I dont hear it in my wife's jeep.

Both Jeep have under 1,000 miles on them.

Thanks for your input.

Its called an LDP. Leak detection pump. There have to be a few circumstances to be correct for the action to take place. Its main goal in life is to make sure that there are no leaks in the fuel/emission vac system. This is what alerts the computer to you forgetting to put your fuel cap on.... But it will pressurize the system occaisonally. Normal operation.

Enjoy your Jeep!!!
