New jeep

Hi all, Just bought my 2012 JK about 3 weeks ago.

I got the 17 inch Aluminum and the 255/75R/17 ON/OFF raod tire package.

I am woundering for thoses of you who also got this package, if you noticed, the window sticker said ON/Off road tires, but the tires are Goodyear wrangler SR/A. The SR/A is not a ON/OFF road tire, it's an all season highway tire. I questioned the dealer and also Jeep about it.
Did your widow sticker say the same, Or am I the only one who noticed? Thanks!

There are many tires rated as on-off road. The SR-A falls into this category.

As far as off-roading goes, the tires are the one weak point on a stock JK.

(Okay, there's also the horn, headlights, and gearing on the pre-'12's, but...)

Straight off the lot, your Jeep will go places few other vehicles can follow. But if you're gonna do any kind've consistent wheeling, you'll want different tires. FWIW, I drove a Jeep Liberty through 7 years of Wisconsin winters on the stock SR/A's, and had no problems.
