New jeep hood scratches

Okay.. It's a jeep. I know. Doesn't mean I want to see two gashes on the RUBI X hood 3 weeks after I had it. It looks like, best I can figure, someone raised the good with the wipers propped up and they scratched the good in the same place both sides.

To be fair, I've had the jeep washed twice and off-road as well as at a dealer for a minor issue. I can't believe I never noticed them but can't think of when/how it would have happened unless it was there from the lot.

Am I being a little ***** about this? Lol. Against black they are pretty prominent. Any recommendations?

I did exactly what you said a few days back while washing and waxing my jeep. I put the wiper blades out to wipe the window and forgot to put them back then I opened the hood to clean the engine bay and when I put the hood down I noticed the blades out and 2 nice new scratches on the hood. I was pissed to say the least. Anyway I used a carnuba wax with a scratch remover built in and went over the area several times, it's much less noticeable but I'll need to keep at it several more times yet.

And no I'm the same (black Jeep as well), I don't want the thing scratched up especially when it's not even off road related.

If it's not completely through the paint you can just buff it out with a machine and polish. If it's through the paint and you can see white/gray under the paint you can try touching it up with some paint. Other options are to have it painted or live with it.

Meg's 105/205 combo will help tremendously. Without pics I can't be sure.

Just tell everyone you did it offroad. Here in Arizona we call it pinstriping not scratches-and they are badges of honor!
