New Jeep, New driver

Hi everybody, so I have recently bought a 2014 Jeep wrangler. Its the Sport S Package. I haven't done any to yet, it is still stock. I am going to drive it awhile before any major add-ons'. So my question is there anything i need to know about driving, owning, and working with a new jeep. Do you all have any tips.

If this is the wrong place to post this sort of question I apologize in advance

The #1 commandment.

Never, ever call it a car.

Ever.

This by a mile and a half. Read the manual front to back then start poking around the forums.

X100! MANY questions are aasked here on the forum that can be answered simply by reading your owners manual from cover to cover. I know it sounds silly and many will argue it is against "Man-code", however there is a wealth of valuable info in there! Not to mention, the next best thing to driving/modding your Wrangler is reading about it!
Welcome to the forum! It's fun here!

+1

While this holds true for any vehicle, your Jeep is unlike any vehicle you've ever owned. And that's a GOOD thing!

You have to know the rules before you can push them, let alone break them, so learn them...then HAVE FUN!

I'd suggest cruzing the forum pages and we have a great search function. In fact most of the time when I Google for an answer to a Jeep problem, it directs me back here.

Oh and one more thing, you will get better answers if you ask specific questions.

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

Welcome to the forum!

Congrats on your purchase. I said the same thing you stated " I'm going to drive it awhile before any major add ons. " a few weeks after my purchase, I added rims, after market bumper and winch. Looking at a lift kit today. Welcome to the addiction.

Welcome and congratulations! Driving it stock will give you time to get to know your Wrangler.

And remember no matter what anyone else says, that the single most important piece on or in the Jeep is not big tires or lifts or cool bumpers or funny stickers. It is a single nut - the one behind the steering wheel! Keep that nut well torqued and your Wrangler will serve you well.

Apply for a couple new credit cards, or start saving lots of money for mods.

Very addicting hobby !
One mod, just leads to another !

Best tip I got: " it's a jeep, take it places you never thought you could go "
