New Jeep order; Build Priority?

I ordered a Rubicon for myself and a Sahara for my wife last Tue. Luckily, I'm dealing directly with the sales manager which has made things very easy. I went to the dealership today to have him correct the gear ratio on my Rubicon and he printed out the order sheet for me. I looked everything over again to make sure he didn't miss anything, it all looked good. But now I'm taking a closer look at the priority he set and it's somewhat odd.

Among the jeep options listed, there is a line with a sales code 4EA SOLD VEHICLE then at the bottom it has the following...

Order type: Retail
Scheduling priority: 1-Sold Order
Customer name: my name and info

All looks great, but then over to the side there is a line
Build Priority: 99

From what I read, the priorities should be set as 1 Sold Order and not a 99 stock order. So I'm confused to see both listed on the form. Which one supersedes the other in this case?

Also I just wanted to run down the numbers with you guys to see what you think about the deal

Rubicon 2door Black
Auto (4:10 ratio)
Connectivity group
Dual top
Power conv.
Heated seats
Remote start
subtotal: $30,346
Tax (8.625%): $2,864
Total: $33,210

My wife's Sahara unlimited has all the same options and is just $185 more.

When I did the math based on the invoice numbers from this forum (it was coming out to $32,857 before tax) so I ended up with $2,511 (7%) under invoice. This is including the $1,000 conquest lease rebate, 1% Tread lightly discount and the fact that not only was I buying two jeeps from him but I also brought him 2 more sales (my brother inlaw and his coworker). Seem like a good deal, no?

The one difference in pricing that I noticed when comparing my order sheet to the prices on the forum is the starting invoice pricing for the jeep. This site has it set to $29,056. The dealer has it at $28,256 ($800 difference) with a sales code 24R Customer preferred package underneath, If that makes any difference. Other then that all the option pricing is identical.

This is normal until your vehicle has been scheduled for build.

Sold order means a customer order, not common dealer stock. This is what it should be.

The $800 difference is what is otherwise known as destination/shipping. The POC you got from the dealer has that included, the forum has it broken out. The price will come out the same in the end.

Got it, yes I see a $800 charge at the bottom of the order form that has a label 5NC Distribution tracking. Is that what's typically called a desitination fee? I was going to argue it but figured that I'm getting a good enough of a deal as it is, no need to nit-pick further.

Mine was the same said 99 until I got the POC with my VIN then it went to 01. In my case that was one week from the order date or 11/26

The vehilces are built in groups of like types. They are not going to stop the line and reset things because of a "customer sold order". When they plan to make one that fits what you ordered, your name gets put on that one.

So how long does it take to make a Jeep? Parts are created in parallel, then there are sub-assemblies, then final assembly. How long?

Crap, so that means that when I ordered mine today and the dealer said they'd call Toledo to start a run of Dozers tomorrow, they lied to me!!

If you're happy with it, then it's a good price! Trust me, there will always be someone on the internet who tells you they got a better deal.

A Sahara is more $$? Dump that order and get two rubicons!
Resale is better on a rubicon, and you get much more for you hard earned $$!

Its a 4 door Sahara Unlimited and the Rubicon is a 2 door. My wife actually did want a 2 door Sahara originally but I convinced her that it would be best to have a larger 4 door when we needed the space. She is just excited to have a Jeep again so its all good.

I hear you. I just wanted to make sure that it was a good deal, I don't care if its the BEST. I think it is a good and I'm happy with the deal and the sales manager. All really important facts.
