Ordered mine on Saturday, emailed the sales guy and got the response that the order was good. I was really hoping to hear a bit more than that...

He also told me that he checks daily and when it changes he'll let me know.

I guess I finally have a VIN, at least 8 digits and a "D" status, not " D-1". Dealer said he's expecting it to go D-1 in a week or so. Is the VOTS still working?

I think VOTS is working now how accurate it is that's another thread
Mine went from "scheduled for production" to "paint" in VOTS today

While VOTS is working, it doesn't provide much usable info, IMHO . I believe it is not updated automatically, hence updates will occur after (much after) the change takes place. The last step before delivery is shipped. It has no other info other then a picture of a truck and the statement that your vehicle is being loaded for shipment, or words to that extent. How it is being shipped, where it is being shipped to, and how long this will take are questions unanswered . I am happy to hear some news rather then no news at all, but it would be nice if some of this was known.

I called the Jeep number and the customer service tech I spoke with had no idea how my Jeep will get from Ohio to South Dakota. She presumed it will go by rail but no known rail destination was available. She was very cheerful and invited me to call back anytime, but with no information to give me, why call back ?

I guess we all wish we could just sit back and wait for the dealer to call and say, "your Jeep is here." But, human nature, and the huge investment we have put into this thing, call for us to want to be a bigger part of the build and delivery process. Come on Delivery

My salesmen emailed me the POC showing Status as KZ (built) and said he will let me know when it is on a truck.

I'm amazed to see how many Jeeps were ordered in November and are scheduled for delivery! Keep 'em comin jeep!!!!
My dealer, such as they are, said they would call me when it was shipped which was tentatively scheduled for 12/7, but I have yet to hear from them. I'm not too surprised considering they were also going to call me with the VIN...never happened. They were also going to call when it went D and D1 status....never happened. When my wife called out of curiosity for the FIRST time after it had been 4 weeks, the manager told her that they couldn't accomodate "your husband's request to update him every day. We have other customers." What's funny is we never asked for updates, this was the first call about the status of the Jeep build process because I wanted to plan the sale of my other truck so it fit well with delivery.

My dealer just told me about someone that ordered a JKU Sahara on 11/15 and picked it up yesterday - that's a 3 week turnaround. I ordered my JKUR on 10/6, was built on 11/17 and it just came in today (after a few reschedules by the dealer, for unknown reasons). So many variables in the process, you just never know how long it's going to take...

Feels good that the wait is finally over, good luck to those of you still waiting.

GCDMD,

If you haven't gotten your VIN you should call your dealer and request it. If the Jeep is in D or D1 or later they have the VIN. Once you have the VIN you can call 1 877 426-5337 any time and get updates on your own.

I got the VIN from the general manager after we had a friendly "chat" about that nasty comment he made. He stated that he didn't have the VIN until Monday, but it has been D1 for over 2 wks. I don't mind ignorance (to an extent), but I certainly don't tolerate outright lying. Either way, the salesman who finalized the deal with me actually called me up today and said it should be here 12-21!!! On the railway as we speak! Now that's exciting news.

Ordered the Arctic for my daughter on 12.02, and got the following email today:

It is unfortunate for the wait but that seems to be the only way to get exactly what one wants. The closest vehicle with a 90% match is 3 states away. Great choice, I would have wanted the MW3 but since it is for my daughter, it would be an over-kill, besides, she already has a black Z4 and wanted a white truck.

I received the same message yesterday. As I remember the first one said, "This is the first of three email updates to keep you informed as your vehicle moves through production." " We will contact you next when production is scheduled for your new Jeep. Didn't happen. Never received the second email or the tracking number. I only received two email updates. The first and the last. Is it possible that the tracking number is the VIN Maybe they could have just said, "you will receive the VIN."

Ah well. It is produced and is in shipment somewhere. Maybe I will have it next weekend.

First Jeep Ever!

I ordered my 2012 JK Rubicon (silver) today. I've already picked out ARB bumpers, Warn winch, Okole seat covers, and Rugged Ridge floor liners, so there isn't much left but to sit around and wait.....

We I never got one email. So maybe it will not ship the 15th. I really have no idea now.
But I'm driving around with a HardRock4x4 front stubby bumper in the bed of my trade in. Already purchased a MasterPull M3000 recovery kit and Husky floor liners. I've decided to put everything else on hold until I know at least it has shipped.

just called in for an update and it looks like my sahara has been built, tested and will be loaded onto a railcar on saturday for it's journey to the pacific northwest. all signs point to having it by the end of the year...VERY excited now!

Congrats NWsportsguy! I have found this is the hardest time being that you are so close. Per my stealership, only 7 days remain for my rubicon delivery and each day feels like a week.

Shipping times

How long have people had to wait to get their Jeeps once they were shipped. Mine shipped Monday the 12th and I got an email saying it should be to the dealer 1/3/12. I live in Omaha along a major rail shipping route. I am guessing they put such a long delivery date to cover themselves for delays.

What the average from ship date to pickup for those that have recently ordered?

I received the shipment email from Jeep 12/9 and it arrived at my dealer today. Keep in mind my dealer is only about 250 miles from the plant and im sure it came directly via truck.

Those emails right from jeep does the dealership pass along your email or is there a way we can email them.....ordered mine on Monday so maybe it's alittle soon for updates.

based on what my current estimates are, looks like about 13 days from Toledo to Seattle. have a current departure date via rail of 12/17 and arrival/unload date of 12/29. i'll let y'all know what it actually turns out to be.

Ordered mine on 12/3. Got an email yesterday from the dealer saying that it's in production and it's supposed to ship on 12/19. They also said it's been taking about a week for them to arrive after shipping date so it's looking like I'll be getting a late Xmas present!

I live in MA so I don't know if anyone has ordered and picked one up here, if you have can you verify shipping time?

My AEV hood came today and now the wait is even more brutal. Hope Jeep Customer Service is right about the 12/20 delivery to the dealer cause the hood sittn in my garage is making me anscy

I live a little east of Worcester, my JKUR was built on 11/17 (ordered 10/6) and only delivered last Friday, 12/9 - so just over 3 weeks shipping, which is ridiculous.

Dealer also said an order he put in on 11/15 was delivered the day before mine, so about 3 weeks order to delivery. Pretty random I think, but I would guess that one week shipping sounds reasonable - hope you get it on time (or even better, early!).

Brutal...

Mine was ordered on 10/24...checked with VOTS periodically and was in shipment status last Thursday. It seems like it did not move as yet, as I try to get in before the new year at 0% interest

I have two jeeps on order since 12/6 and still no VIN#s

I got the VON#s from the dealer and have been calling Chrysler directly. How long has it taken some of you to simply get VIN#s? From what I read the majority of people got it within the first week of ordering.

Sit back and relax, I waited 4 weeks for my vin#. 7 weeks for jeep to come in.
