New Jeep Rustproofing Refund?

Bought my first Jeep this week. The accessory salesperson had big boobs, so of course I bought the rustproofing/ interior protection package ($2400 total). Now I'm thinking it may not have been a good idea. Should I get a refund as I haven't had the service done yet?

WOW!!! that seems a little step.

I work at a dealership, and we do not sell rust proofing, but we do sell other things, and I sure do wonder what all you bought. Do you have a detailed list?

I found some threads on it from Canada, and it sounds kind of fishy to me. Jeep does do rust protection treatment on their Jeeps from the factory. To spend $2400 on additional rust protection sounds silly to me. And Interior? That sounds ridiculous. Just clean it and bedline it. $300, from a good body shop. Here's the Canadian discussion on it. Personally, I thought you are getting the Royal Mounty....

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a break down of what all is included in my paperwork. I want to say it was just rust proofing and interior protection though. I also went on to purchase Gap, repair service, and 3 for 1 which is tire/wheel protection, windshield protection, and dent repair. Total for $5,400 after purchase add on. I'm a sucker for boobs....

You bought $2,400 worth of snake oil because a girl had a big rack. Yikes. I would get a refund tomorrow

That's what I'm leaning towards. All the service contracts refund 100% is canceled within 60 days and as far as the interior/rustproofing I'd assume it's 100% refund since the service wasn't provided.

Cancel the crap, and get your own girl with big boobs, and take her out with the savings. Or, put the savings in the bank, take care of your Jeep(no rust proofing needed), and when the girl with the big boobs comes along, you will have $5,400.00 to spend on her. I guarantee you see will be happy. I have a 97 wrangler with no rust. It can be done, although in California we don't get snow every reason and salt on the roads.

Or, you could get up the nerve to ask the girl with the big boobs out for a date, and tell her you're sorry for not getting the rust package, but you would like to spend some of your savings on her over dinner.

Nerve nothing. She poops the same as anyone else. You have not because you ask not. I'd ask in a flat second. Actually I did, and married her, so.

Gap may not be a bad idea, all depending on how much you financed and for how long and such.

As far as the 3 in 1, I am not sure that was a good idea also. These are not low profile tires. Windshield, I would pay for my self, and dent repair, well, I don't know.

As far as repair service, was it an extended warranty or a service contract? Might be a good thing for you, I can not say.

Rust proofing? Well, Your jeep has been dipped in a galvanization tank. Most cars are only covered for about 5 years and unlimited miles for corrosion perforation. Rusting from the inside out. I would say that taking care of your Jeep's paint and body will prevent rust from the outside. Just don't break the paint. That is when cars and trucks start to rust.

Just service contract ( general maintenance). I think GAP was a bad idea as well as I had a reasonable trade, down payment, and I tend to make double payments monthly. Besides the boobs I thought a lot of this might be a good idea because I think this is the first vehicle I will keep for my than my normal 3-5 yrs. Besides the frequent gas station stops, driving a Jeep is pretty cool. But now that I've taken the time to sit down and analyze what these services actually provide compared to what they cost it seems to be a bit of a scam.

Service contracts can be a good thing and offer services at a discount compared to regular rates. The devil is in the details though. Things like do you have to take it to the specific dealer and such and what all is covered in the contract as far as the services. I service my TJ myself, as most of the services are easy for me to do, and I enjoy it. It isn't for everyone though.

As far as rustproof, like I said before, as long as you don't break the paint, the body should not rust. Just take good care of the paint by washing and waxing. A good idea is also to line the tub and a good coat of undercoating.

they do sometimes put beautiful women in the finance office, just for people like this.

On my '13 I got the 'lifetime rust and leather protection'. It was $800 and not worth it. Skipped all of the bs they tried to pawn off on me on the '14. For $2400 for rustproofing you got bent over a barrel and taken dry. I'm glad you're going cancel that stuff!!!

For $5400 you should at least have gotten a peak at the boobs if not an all out touch and squeeze.

Sounds like your the boob to me!

Just kidding. But seriously ask for a refund.

Big boobs are overated. its more about shape and jiggleyness that is important.
