New member, new 2012 Wrangler

Just got back from the dealership - got a 2012 2-door black Wrangler Sport with the 3.73 gears and AC, 6 speed. Was able to get it for less than invoice - $23,000 out the door (plus tax and reg). I was going to get a Sahara but it would have been another 5k or so - couldn't justify that.

I'm not completely new to jeeps - drove a 2008 JKU for a while (family car when i was in school). Man have things changed in the 2012. Fit and finish of the interior - huge improvement. But the power is the biggest difference. Same torque from 2k rpms but so much more power. Accelerates just like the Xterra 4.0 that I have driven a lot. Driving at 75-80 on the highway is where you can really feel a difference, tons of passing power.

I'm really happy with the purchase and excited to be a jeep owner!

Yes, it does. Over bumpy terrain. Why do you ask?

New 2012 owner.
Had a 03 Rubicon with a 5 speed.

Mine shakes violently on decently paved streets.
Off-Road, it may fracture a patella.

Something seems wrong.

Yep - its not ideal. I would say it almost HAS to be a trans or engine mount issue - too soft or just not doing their job.

I'd put money on a recall within the first 2 months - replacing mounts of some sort. Good thing is that its a very minor thing.

After paying more attention to my 6 speed shifter I still notice shake...but it is very minor.

I quickly swapped back the stock shift knob and it actually shook more than with the billet replacement knob I had put on...not a ton more, but more none the less. But given some of the descriptions I have read, it seems like some people may have an issue worthy of a dealer visit
