Hey guys,
This is an update to a previous thread I started. As some of you may have seen, I was debating between JW speaker, KC and Morimoto headlights. Many of you chimed in and helped me make the decision to give the Sealed7's a try.
I have now received my order from the retrofit source. I went with the 50 watt ballast instead of the 35 watt. This provides about a 20% increase in output at the expense of bulb life. The staff told me that most of them also run the 50 watt ballast and are getting 2-3 years use out of their bulbs.
I also upgraded my bulbs to the Osram CBI. These bulbs have a color temp of 5500k and will match my new Morimoto fog lights which are 6000k. The retrofit source was offering a bit of a discount on the Morimoto XB LED fog lights if purchased at the same time.
This install isn't exactly plug and play but, it doesn't seem to be overly complicated either. There doesn't seem to be much talk about these Morimotos on the forums so, I just wanted to start this thread because I will be documenting my install experience here along with output pics when finished. Hopefully this will help others who are looking for information on these. I hope to have these finished up over the weekend.
More to follow soon....
