New owner question

I am in the Wallyworld parking lot and it is raining. There is some gravel and small pebbles at the curb entering the street. There is also about 2 inches of water. Should I use 4WH or 4WL? People behind me are honking what should I do?

Do nothing except drive to the nearest jeep dealer and trade it in

4L. If you've got a Rubicon, engage the front and rear lockers and disconnect the sway bar. Then floor it. Hard. Don't let off the gas until you get home. If you've got a manual, keep it in first gear so you'll be at no less than 7k RPMs the whole time. Godspeed man.

Take the top off and go through only in reverse. Also, you have to have your left blinker on, right arm out the window, and honk your horn.

I found a picture of the scene:

You're right. Those tires aren't enough. You probably need to bail out entirely. Get the jeep lifted by helicopter somewhere so you can get it modded into competence.

There is not that much water! Does this photo mean that I can actually drive through that much water or is that photo "shopped"

When it stops raining, air down to 12 pounds (including the spare under the black cover with advertisement for the dealership) and wrap your tow strap over one of the pointy things on the front bumper. LOL (Love this kind of humor. Thanks for posting dewpdewp.)

Just eyeballing that, I'd say a stock Wrangler with some decent tires (like the MTs on the Rubicon) has a pretty good shot of driving right through that.

But that said, the 2" of water, the rain, and the gravel and small pebbles have no doubt got you completely bollixed. I think the time has come to abandon ship.

2 inches of water! Oh no! I read that the wrangler can't go through more than 1/8 inches without a snorkel, cold air intake, 37 inch tires, 6 inch lift, adjustable track bars, fully disconnected sway bar and a partridge in a pear tree!! Run, run for the hills I say!
On a side note, if it's raining, the treacherous terrain is the least of your worries. I bet your roof is leaking like a collander and your sat/nav system can't find it's way home!

The Key to this problem revolves around the fact that it is a WallyWorld parking lot. THINK!! Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor, not an engineer!

First of all, EVERYONE knows that any high quality Wally World has parking lots that typically slope toward a curb which, correct me if I am wrong, is where you state this 2" of water has accumulated.
The important thing is to remain calm, turn your steering wheel to such a point that the vehicle begins to turn in your intended direction which should be UPHILL away from the accumulating water that has now mixed with various and sundry pebbly things. Once you are as far uphill in the parking lot as you can be, place the vehicle in park, turn off the engine and wait until this torrential downpour and subsequent flood has subsided.
Do NOT be tempted to drive in this weather with a Jeep. You may see Toyotas, and Fords attempting this, but know that they will never make it home alive. You will, because you own a Jeep. How smart are you now?
