"new" owner. taking the mod plunge...

after lurking on this site for a couple of months, i decided to jump in. picked up my '13 jku sahara in may. traded in an '11 jku sahara to get into the new engine and powertrain (which i love). i had an '03 tj freedom addition that i hated to get rid of (marriage). all have been DD, kept on the blacktop (but top off whenever possible) except for getting me to some fun camp sites.

mods were never a consideration for me...until i got addicted to WF. so i'm starting slow. removed the fugly silver stock bumper covers...ordered a stubby antenna...swapping out some decals. and an set of ACE rock sliders is soon to be ordered.

anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and thanks for all the great information so far! my bank account also thanks all of you for the future weight loss...

welcome to the fray!

....question: "Why the short antenna"??? All the comments I've seen on them relate to decreased performance.

i just like the looks and have read mixed reviews as far as reception. if i get poor performance out of it, i'll just return it. trial and error.
