2012 Sub Model

Is this the Kicker CVT8?
I spoke to Kicker today about adding the individual components of the 77KPK312 kit without the sub (2 sets of 77KICK10 6.5" coax speakers and the 8 channel amp) and upgrading the internal sub. The engineer suggested the CVT8 as a replacement to the factory device.

Can you confirm what part you used and if how it is amplified?
