New Plates!!

OMG!!! They arrived yesterday....I'm sooooooooooo excited! I've always thought about getting personalized plates....finally it was time........

.....and I discovered that I CAN lower and raise the top all by myself.....woot, woot....the sunrider is no issue but I thought I'd need an extra pair of hands to put it all the way down but.......I did it!! Thanks to an earlier thread about doing it from inside the Jeep -- awesome piece of advice...worked like a charm!!

This forum rocks..........

ACK! Didn't see that coming from YOU....yeah, right.

I opted to skip the personalized tags and use that money for gas to drive up there and bop you on the head!

My favorite customized plate, which was on an EMT license plate, was ETOH PRN. In medical speak, roughly translates into apply alcohol as needed. My buddy just got 4077 on his jeep, and I was thinking about 8063 for mine, but htJPchk ()is right, I need the extra money for gas. Cool jeep though, and I like the plate.

The 4077th is cool!

8063rd was on that show as the other MASH unit, as I recall, right?

In North Carolina:

Had them on my 1978 Datsun 280Z that I restored. It is $30 annual fee, plus the regular renewal fee of $25.

So, not as bad as yours--but I got it outta my system on my 280Z, so I won't be doing it on this TJ.

I've had Personalized Tags in the past, between living in Florida and Virginia. Cost wasn't too bad. My FAVORITE one..... and the ONLY reason I hated moving from Virginia, was my Jimmy Buffett, "PARROTHEADS", License Plate. Mine said, "PYRATE"! "PIRATE" & "PIR8", were already taken. I kept mine as a souvenir!

However..... for $3 a year, I'll go ahead and keep my Disabled Veteran Tag. Lot cheaper, and I can spend the Savings on Jeep Mods!

Besides, my tag now, says, "Yellow Fun Vehicle"! Honest... that's the way it came! They all have the "DV's" on the tags, but the YFV was a Bonus! Ya just can't beat that for the cost!

Cheers!
