Well its 2013 , don't see any new post on what you all think of your Quadratec Q9000 Self Recovery Winch , Got mine on the jeep with the Smittybilt MOD Bumper looks great . Sorry have not used the winch yet.
Any Performance updates on these Quadratec winches?
Grew up around 'em as most of my family (incl. Me) worked at Jeep.

I did purchase the Q11K and have used on 4 different occasions, 2 hard technical pulls and others were more normal. Failed me the first use. Way below Zero, gear oil was super thick spool and lever was not wanting to stay in gear) the other vehicle was sitting on top of a pile of trees impinging the transmission that the wrecker had to be used with some interesting tactics, I consider the other guy lucky I did not pull straight out if I could or major damage to the undercarriage. Since fall/summer is herethe winch seems to be working just fine. Prior to purchase, I could not find any real world review myself so took a chance relying on QT's reputation of customer service.
I got mine installed in August using the Maximus-3 mounting hardware and a hawse fairlead. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, despite 3 trips - I, or anyone else just didn't get stuck where I needed to use it. Install was easy, but this thing is huge - and I need to re-do it using a vacuum pump relocation bracket that I ignored the first time around. My bumper is on, but I can't get 1 of the 8 bolts on because of how the winch sits.

My Q9000 arrived last week. I received a price discount ($269) and will be getting a $25 gift card because the batch Quadratec received had "blemishes" due to shipping. I barely notice any on mine.
Mounted it to my Smittybilt XRC MOD bumper - middle section only (sides and bull bar still on back order) - and installed them both today on to my 2012 JK 2 door.
We started around 1:30pm - finished install around 7:30. This included trips to hardware store for tools I needed. We took our time and are rookies at working on Jeeps (me and my brother).
Biggest obstacle was that the winch was too long to clear the frame mount for the bumper on the passenger side. Had to use a saws all and cut about a half inch chunk off that mounting plate section, at the corner, for the bumper to mount with the winch on it.
Other minor issue is that Smittybilt included a vacuum canister relocation kit for 2012 JK's. Funny thing - noticed after I removed the canister and cut the bracket - that it didn't appear to really need to be moved at all!!! Also - even if I did need to do the relocation - I would've needed to do it BEFORE I mounted the winch, as the relocation bracket provided goes between the winch and bumper mount...so we just rigged our own bracket instead.
All holes lined up otherwise for both winch and bumper. Also - I did a top mount for the solenoid as I intend to install a bull bar.
Tested it out by pulling my JK up my drive - success
Will post more info / pics after I get rear bumper, tire carrier, and the ends/bull bar (when those two parts arrive...) - and after I've beaten things up a bit
Got the winch installed yesterday and bumper last week. Did the pre-stretch and fairly happy so for. Solenoid is sticky, but getting that resolved. I will update after I have had a chance to put it through its paces... after the solenoid issue is resolved... and before I have to use it in anger.
Like sknyfats, I too have purchased one of the new Q9000 from Quadratec, as part of their QuadraPacks XRC Smittybuilt MOD bumper promotions. While getting all there order took a couple of weeks because the various parts shipped from different parts of the US, some from Quadratec and some directly from the manufacturer. Everything arrived within three weeks of me placing the order, with packages arriving over the course of the whole third week. Due to the fact my main wrenching buddy is laid up from knee surgery and the snow is half way up the garage door, the installation process has been placed on hold. Major bummer, 'cause I'm going nuts looking at all those boxes every time I walk into the garage!!!
I too will try and post some pic of the install and the results of my "independent" winch trials.
