New Rock Rails

Just ordered some rock rails for my 2008 JK 4 Door!!!
Rugged Ridge 11504.20 - Rugged Ridge RRC Side Armor Guards for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

Has anyone installed these? Any tips or tricks I need to know?

Thanks,

I did mine by myself. Not too bad, buy once you get the rails hanging on the body mount bolts, crawl out and take a look, there is definitely a left and right side. And if you have been offroading recently, wash the underside or wear goggles.

They look awesome. How was the install? I've heard some guys had problems with the Smittybuilt brand but I think they may have gotten the left right thinggy messed up.

No problem with fit, I needed my son to help hold them untill i bolted them on, make sure you hand tighten one side then take a look there is a left and a right.

It is hard to tell without bolting one up, but it only took 1-1.5 hrs (because it was cold as sh*%# I am old and fat!!!! )

I have the RRC sliders. Same thing just diffrent how they sit against the body. How do they squeek? You mounted them up with the body bolts and torqued them pretty good? The only problem I have is that my RR hoop on my front bumper started peeling and rusting pretty quick due to the fact they use a cheap thin coat of whatever they call that. I put 2 coats of stone guard and 2 coats of flat black industrial krylon on today on the hoop and the sliders are next. Just waiting for a nice day. I also have the RRC rear bumper that has that same coating as the other stuff. There products are pretty heavy duty but the coating they use sucks, at least in the stoney, salty, wet North East it does. I sanded blasted the hoop's coating right off and now with the four coats of quality stone guard and paint it should be good to go for awhile.
